Maharaja’s College clash: Two SFI leaders arrested

Kochi:  Two SFI leaders were arrested in connection to the recent violent clashes at Maharajas's College here. 

The arrested individuals are SFI district president Prajith K. Bab and Vice-President Ashish S. Anand. Following the clashes and murder attempt on an SFI leader at the college, KSU- Fraternity workers and SFI leaders clashed with each other in the nearby general hospital where they were taken for treatment. 

The duo were charged under the Hospital Protection Amendment Act for assaulting KSU and Fraternity activists at the hospital premise. 

Earlier, the police registered a case against 35 identifiable persons in relation to the incident. 

Meanwhile, the police have registered a case against 15 KSU-Fraternity activists for attempting to murder SFI unit secretary  Nasser Abdul Rahman.
