Search for Arjun: 2 vehicles found on river bed; lorry parts retrieved

Ankola (Karnataka): Efforts are underway to retrieve parts of a lorry found in the Gangavali River in Shiroor here on Saturday. A lorry driven by Kozhikode native Arjun went missing a few months ago in a massive landslide.

Earlier, the team led by diving expert Eshwar Malpe located parts of a lorry, which was suspected to be that of one driven by Arjun. However, as per the latest reports, the parts retrieved by the riverbed are that of another vehicle. Manaf, the owner of Arjun's lorry, also revealed that the tires retrieved by the team were not that of his vehicle. It has been reported that both vehicles will be retrieved today.

Manaf stated that diver Eshwar Malpe had informed that the lorry was found upside down. Karwar SP M Narayan informed that two vehicles have been found, and efforts are being made to bring them out.

Arjun has been missing since July 16 after his lorry carrying timber was swept into the river in the landslide.
