Thiruvananthapuram: A large number of complaints are being raised against the Bev Q App which was launched for the online booking of liquor from beverages outlets in the state. Those who downloaded and used the application  shared the worst experience about it.

At the same time, sale of liquor began on Thursday morning and many beverage outlets opened ensuring Covid protocols. Police were manning the outlets to ensure if people follow all safety precautions.

When some people failed to complete the registration on the app, a few reported that OTP was not generated from it.

Interestingly, the app is not available while searching in play store even though the developers claim they have successfully uploaded it. At present, the app is being downloaded through the link shared by Faircode Technologies, the developers of the app.

After facing glitches, Bev Q users took to the play store and expressed their protest by posting negative reviews.

However, the beverages outlets which closed as part of the lockdown over coronavirus outbreak will reopen on Thursday. Only those who received a token through online booking via Bev Q app or SMS will be able to collect liquor from beverages outlets in the state. The outlets will remain open till 5 pm.

Only five people will be allowed to stand in the queue at the outlets. Police will be deployed to implement the restrictions.
