Kozhikode: LDF convener T.P. Ramakrishnan has stated that all the issues raised by Nilambur MLA P.V. Anvar are very serious. Speaking to the media at the Kozhikode Press Club, Ramakrishnan said that Anvar’s remarks were based on his experiences and observations, and clarified that there is no fault in speaking out.

Ramakrishnan assured that Anvar’s intervention would not affect the front, and confirmed that an investigation will be conducted to determine whether any wrongdoing has been committed.

“There is no point in merely making accusations. They should be investigated and proven. The Chief Minister has stated that the complaint will be investigated and action will be taken. Information will be gathered regarding the allegations against the Chief Minister’s political secretary, P. Sasi. Everything will be checked. We will take a strong stance against mistakes and move forward,” he added.

On erstwhile LDF convener E.P. Jayarajan, Ramakrishnan said that Jayarajan is a member of the CPM Central Committee and will continue in that leadership role. He also mentioned that Jayarajan is a person who has sacrificed a lot for the growth of the CPM and can still contribute to the party.

In response to reports that the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) is considering replacing A.K. Saseendran as Kerala’s Minister for Forests and Wildlife Protection, the new LDF convener stated that there has been no discussion within the front on this matter.
