Landslide near Thamarassery ghat disrupts traffic in Kozhikode

Kozhikode: Traffic was disrupted near the Thamarassery Ghat view point on Tuesday evening after rocks and trees fell onto the road following a landslide.

The incident happened around 6:45 p.m., police said. Vehicles heading up the ghat have been diverted from Thamarassery Chungam through Perambra and Kuttiady ghat.

A fire force team from Kalpetta has reached the spot and begun clearing the fallen rocks and trees to restore traffic movement.
