Kozhikode: The office of Laker India Corporation, identified by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) as the second company in which T. Veena, an accused in the CMRL-Exalogic case, holds a stake, is located in a building at Poolengara Angadi, Pantheerankavu, Kozhikode.

On the wall of a room on the first floor of the building, named ‘Baitul Mubarak’, the name ‘Laker India Corporation’ is printed on a sheet of paper and pasted to the wall. A GST number is also displayed.

Although rent is reportedly being paid regularly, it remains unclear whether the office is actually operational. A doctor from Kozhikode had rented the premises, claiming that the company dealt in medical equipment. However, since the establishment began operating, the only indication of its presence has been the name printed on a sheet of paper and pasted on the wall.

Although the nameboard was found at the premises, no information about the entity could be found in the records of the Registrar of Companies.

Laker India Corporation was listed among Veena’s assets in the election affidavit submitted when P.A. Mohamed Riyas contested the Beypore Assembly constituency. Her stake in Laker India was valued at Rs 10 lakh.
