KSRTC bus travels back 60 km after failing to pick up passenger who booked ticket

Alappuzha: A KSRTC Super Deluxe bus had to travel back 60 kilometres after they failed to pick up a passenger who booking ticket. Haripad native Inooja taught KSRTC staff a lesson. She contacted the KSRTC headquarters at Thiruvananthapuram and the officials directed the bus employees to travel back and pick her.

Inooja waited for almost 2 hours again to catch the bus. The incident took place on Friday. Inooja, a teacher at KMCT school in Kozhikode, was waiting for the KSRTC bus at a stop near Kandanakam KSRTC workshop. She had reserved ticket to go home on Friday in the KSRTC Super Deluxe bus.

She reached the Kandanakam bus stop at 7 pm as the conductor said that the bus will reach there at 8.30 pm. She also informed him that she is waiting at the bus stop and the conductor replied the bus will reach soon. As she could not spot the bus even after a long time, she called him again. But the conductor said that the bus had left the location and asked her to reach by an autorickshaw.

However, the conductor could not even tell her the actual location of the bus at that time. With this, Inooja complained at Changaramkulam and Ponnani police stations and KSRTC headquarters at Thiruvananthapuram. Following this, the bus returned to Edappal and reached there by 10.30 pm. It resumed journey after picking up Inooja.
