ED quizzes KPA Majeed for 5.30 hrs

Kozhikode: The Enforcement Directorate questioned Muslim League General Secretary KPA Majeed for 5 hours and 30 minutes here on Wednesday in connection with the probe against MLA KM Shaji over bribery allegations.

As per the complaint, MLA KM Shaji had allegedly taken a bribe of Rs 25 lakh for sanctioning plus two batch for Azhikode High School in Kannur. KPA Majeed was interrogated for more than 5 hours at the ED office in Kozhikode.

According to reports, the interrogation which commenced at 2.30 pm continued till 8 pm.

At the same time, Muslim League Kannur district secretary also appeared before ED for interrogation in the same case. ED has been investigating on KM Shaji’s financial dealings with the money allegedly taken as bribe.

Meanwhile, ED has issued a notice to KM Shaji summoning him for interrogation on November 10. At the same time, the Vigilance department is also probing the case against the MLA.
