"Time for Art ": Kochi Muziris Biennale set for grant return from Dec 12 onwards

Kochi: After three years of absence, Kochi is all set to launch the fifth edition of Kochi Muziris Biennale 2022-2023, the biennial international contemporary art exhibition at Fort Kochi from December 12 onwards. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the event at Parade Ground in Fort Kochi on Monday. Visitors from across the globe could immerse themself into the world of art until April 10, 2022.
In the fifth edition of Biennale, Kochi will welcome more than 90 International artists from 35 different countries, alongside 33 Indian artists and 85 art installations.
The Biennale is curated by Singapore-based artist Shubigi Rao. Seminars, film screenings, performances and workshops will be held as part of the five-months long event. As usual, Aspinwall House in Fort Kochi will be the main venue for the Biennale.
Biennale Foundation President Bose Krishnamachari and Trustee Bonnie Thomas informed that there will be 14 venues including Ernakulam Durbar Hall, Cabral Yard, Pepper House, David Hall, Kashi Art Cafe, Kashi Town House, MAP Warehouse, Arman Building in Mattancherry, KVN Arcade, VKL Building, Trivandrum Building, and Anand Warehouse.
