Nedumbassery Airport faces threat after passenger claims to be a human bomb

Kochi: A bomb threat was made by a passenger at Nedumbassery Airport here on Monday. The incident occurred on Vistara Airlines flight UK 518, which was scheduled to depart from Kochi to Mumbai.

A passenger, identified as Vijay Mandhyan from Maharashtra, threatened that he was a human bomb. 

He was then arrested by the police. However, after an investigation, the threat was found to be a hoax.

The flight, which was scheduled to depart at 3.50 pm, took off at 4.19 pm following security checks.
