Pathanamthitta: Around 130 vintage scooters gathered in Pathanamthitta on Sunday for the ‘Two-stroke’ meet, organised by the Vintage & Classic Scooters Club-Kerala (VCSC) State Committee. The event saw scooters from different generations and regions converging in the town for a nostalgic celebration.

St. Stephen's Orthodox Cathedral ground in Makkamkunnu hosted scooters that once dominated the streets during the eighties and nineties, featuring iconic models such as Chetak, Vespa, Lambi, Kelvinator, and LML Prithvi.

Early on Saturday, O.M. Rahul set off for Pathanamthitta on his Vespa at 6 am, navigating through fog and descending the Wayanad pass, finally reaching his destination by 8 pm. Meanwhile, Akshay from Thiruvananthapuram began his journey at 4 am on Sunday.

Excitement surged as the vintage scooters were displayed in pristine condition, offering a nostalgic spectacle. The event also served as a platform for enthusiasts to reconnect and form new friendships. This marked the club's ninth gathering and the first ever in Pathanamthitta. The meeting was inaugurated by District Collector Prem Krishnan S, while Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector S. Sreelal conducted a traffic awareness talk.

An award established in memory of the late Mithun, a Pathanapuram native and club member, was presented by Fr. V.J. Johnson. Following a city rally on scooters, participants enjoyed a slow race and a series of cultural programs.
