Kerala local body elections: Final voter list to be published today

Thiruvananthapuram: The final voter list for the upcoming local body elections will be published on October 25, following verification of the revised draft released on September 29.

The draft list included 2.83 crore voters. More than seven lakh applications were received during the revision process, including requests to add new names. This year, names were added to the voter list twice. The previous list had been published on September 2, after completing all standard procedures.

The latest update follows the introduction of a unique identification number by the State Election Commission, which facilitated the second round of additions. With the publication of the final list, an official election notification is expected soon.
