Kerala Plus One third allotment on June 15; classes to start on June 18

Haripad: When the Plus One admissions as per the merit list were completed, there were 93,594 remaining seats. Of these, 44,371 vacancies arose because students who were allotted seats in the first two rounds did not join the schools. The remaining vacancies were due to reserved category seats and cancellations caused by irregularities in applications.

Considering the remaining seats on merit, the third allotment will be held on the June 15. Admissions will be held on the June 16 and 17. Those who did not get their first option in the first two allotments were allowed temporary admission. However, this facility will not be available in the third allotment and taking permanent admission is mandatory. Those who continue in temporary admission must also pay the fees and join permanently. Classes will start on June 18.

A total of 17,294 students who were included in the second allotment and who had continued with provisional admission from the first allotment have given up their merit-based allotment. The figures show that some of these students have joined management, community, and unaided categories. Across various districts, a total of 11,954 students secured admission in these categories. The remaining students may have joined VHSE.

Admissions to the community, management, and unaided categories also began on the same Monday as the second allotment admissions. After the first allotment, 69,000 reserved category seats remained vacant due to a lack of eligible applicants. Some of these seats were included in the second allotment, while the rest will be considered in the third allotment.

Seat Information

There are a total of 4,42,195 seats across all categories. As of Thursday evening, 2,36,934 students have joined. Of these, 2,24,980 were admitted through the single window admission portal, while the remaining 11,954 secured seats in the management, community, and unaided categories. A total of 4,63,686 applications were received. Among these, 45,851 applicants applied in more than one district, resulting in a total of 4,17,835 unique applicants.

VHSE Admission

A total of 18,902 students have joined VHSE schools through the first two allotments. There are 30,300 merit seats available. Including the management quota, the total number of seats in VHSE schools is 33,030. The third allotment will be held on June 15, with admissions on June 16 and 17. Classes will start on June 18. Admissions for the management quota will take place during the supplementary allotment phase.
