Kerala minister V Sivankutty slams Governor for overstepping powers

Thiruvananthapuram: Education Minister V Sivankutty said that the Vice Chancellor is acting like Governor’s hired hand. The Minister said at a press conference that he is not ready to accept such roguish and that this is Kerala.

The allegation is that the registrar showed disrespect to the governor. In reality, the governor showed disrespect to the university rules. It is not wrong to criticise someone who holds a constitutional position as a habitual violator of the law. "The governors of all the states with anti-BJP governments in India are acting on the instructions of the national leaders of the RSS and BJP. The governors are challenging and subverting the state administration and bringing in their parallel system of governance only after the BJP government came to power. There is an elected government. The governor only has the power to implement the decisions taken by the cabinet", said Minister V Sivankutty.
