Shan murder: More people taken into custody, hint police

Alappuzha: Police stated that they have taken more people into custody over the murder of SDPI leader Shan. According to reports, two Thrissur natives and one Aluva native were nabbed on Friday. But police haven’t recorded their arrest yet.

It is suspected that the Thrissur natives helped the accused in Shan murder case to escape from police. Meanwhile, the Aluva native man was taken into custody over alleged involvement in the conspiracy behind the murder. More details regarding the case will disclosed soon, the sources close to the police department said.

Earlier, police had arrested three people over the SDPI leader’s murder in Alappuzha. Three people were arrested for BJP leader Ranjith’s murder. But so far, police didn’t arrest anyone of the accused who are directly involved in the murder.

ADGP Vijay Sakhare informed that the accused in the double murder case left to other states. Police sources revealed that the special investigation team also headed to other states in search of the culprits.
