Gallery collapses during football match in Kerala, at least 21 injured

Kothamangalam: A makeshift gallery collapsed during the Adivad football tournament in Kothamangalam on Sunday evening, injuring several people. At least 21 people have been injured.

15 of the injured were taken to the Baselios Medical Mission Hospital in Kothamangalam, five were taken to Dharmagiri Hospital, and one person with spinal injury was taken to Rajagiri Hospital in Kochi.

The temporary gallery, built for the football tournament, tilted and collapsed to one side just.

More than 4,000 people had gathered to watch the match when the incident occurred, around 10 minutes before kickoff. Rescue operations are ongoing, with local authorities and emergency services at the scene.
