Passerby collapses near Lok Bhavan; Kerala Governor rushes to his aid | WATCH

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar on Wednesday came to the aid of a passerby who suddenly collapsed near the Lok Bhavan and ensured that he received medical assistance.
The incident occurred while the Governor was leaving his official residence by car to attend Onam-related celebrations, according to a Lok Bhavan official.
As his vehicle crossed the Lok Bhavan gate, Arlekar noticed a passerby, later identified as Girish, suddenly fall to the road after feeling unwell.
Girish reportedly suffered the health issue after his blood sugar levels rose, the official said.
The Governor immediately got out of his vehicle and went to Girish. He stayed at the spot for around 15 minutes, checking on his condition and directing his staff to provide the necessary assistance.
The Governor's staff brought water for Girish and washed his face. They also used his phone to contact his family and inform them about the incident.
Girish's family lives near the Alathara Devi Temple in Vellayambalam. However, they were unable to reach the spot immediately as they were some distance away.
Arlekar then directed his staff to take Girish to a hospital first for a medical examination and ensure that his condition did not worsen. He also instructed them to arrange for Girish to be taken home after his health was assessed.
The Governor left the spot only after arrangements were made to take Girish to hospital, the official said.
