Governor Arif Mohammad Khan gives consent letter for organ donation

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala governor Arif Mohammad Khan gave his consent letter for organ donation after his death on World Organ Donation day.

Dr Sara Varghese, state convener for Mrithasanjeevani and medical college principal, and Dr. Noble Gracious, state nodal officer for Mrithasanjeevani, accepted the consent letter. 

The governor was handed over the donor card that is usually given to those who submit the consent letter for organ donation. Mrithasanjeevani coordinators P V Aneesh and S L Vinod Kumar also took part in the event.

The governor said that people must be made aware of the need and importance of organ donation through counselling classes and workshops.
