High Court seeks explanation over appointment of former MP's husband as C-DIT Director

Kochi: The Kerala High Court has sought an explanation from state government in connection with the appointment of former MP TN Seema’s husband as the Director of C–DIT.

The court’s action was in response to a petition questioning the appointment. The petitioner claimed that G Jayarajan was appointed despite him not having the required qualifications.

Jayarajan, who was the Registrar of C-DIT, had continued in this post even after his retirement, on contract basis.

The petition was filed by, MR Mohanachandran, Deputy Director of C-DIT e- governance and establishment section.

The government ordered his appointment as the Director the day after his extension period.
