Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday greeted citizens on the eve of Onam and said the festival is a time to recollect the fabulous period people once had.

The government is aimed at reconstructing such a state of affairs by embracing the new needs of present times, CM said in a video message on his Facebook handle.

"Despite limitations, the government has been doing everything to make the state prosperous during Onam (Onam season)," CM said. He also remarked on ration distribution and delivery of welfare pensions.

He extended best wishes to all, and said that the government is with the people.
