Thodupuzha: Kerala Congress leader P J Joseph said that the dispute over the candidate selection in Ettumanoor constituency will not affect UDF.

Congress has not asked us to give Ettumanoor seat to Lathika Subhash, former Mahila Congress president, at any phase of candidate selection. Also the candidate in Ettumanoor seat was decided in the first phase itself, he stated.

‘We did not get as much seats as we demanded. But we will definitely win the 9 out of the 10 seats we are contesting. We got the party name Kerala Congress before the election and that will benefit us, he added.

‘I’m filing nomination in Thodupuzha with optimistic thoughts. We will definitely get a good majority. Backdoor placement, gold smuggling and Life Mission scams will be discussed in the election campaign. UDF has fielded talented candidates this time, Joseph stated.
