INL dismisses allegations over selling PSC membership for Rs 40 lakh bribe

Kozhikode: INL state leadership has reacted to the allegations over selling PSC membership by accepting Rs 40 lakh as bribe. INL state president AP Abdul Wahab dismissed the allegations as baseless.

“The allegation about selling PSC membership is really surprising. Such an issue was not reported in INL. Dragging a constitutional institution like PSC to such controversies is wrong. INL didn’t take a stance to sell PSC membership and nobody raised such demand or discussions within the party,” said Abdul Wahab.

At the same time, he didn’t reject the chances of a split in INL. He stated that the rebels have the freedom to revamp the National Secular Conference.

“If people in a party have an opinion, there will be a difference of opinion. All members have the freedom to express their opinion in our party,” he added.

INL wants the members to discuss the difference of opinion and stand together as a group.

“They have the freedom to revamp National Secular Conference. But it should create issues in INL,” he added.
