HC lauds govt’s efforts to slash RTPCR test rate amid Covid surge

Kochi: The Kerala High Court has appreciated the government’s decision to slash the RTPCR test rate during the surge in COVID cases.

The court also directed that the government can include the test under essential services. The court issued the statement while considering a Public Interest Litigation seeking reduction of RTPCR test rate.

During the hearing, the government informed the court that an order was issued deducting the RTPCR test rate. After examining the government’s report, the court settled the pleas seeking deduction in the RTPCR test rate.
