Kattappana double murder case: Deceased Vijayan’s wife arrested

Kattappana: In an important development to the Kattappana double murder case, Suma, the wife of Kanchiyar native Vijayan, has been arrested by the police. Vijayan was brutally murdered by Nitheesh, the main suspect in the case. Investigations revealed Suma's complicity with Nitheesh and other suspects in burying the body of Vijayan. Suma has been remanded and the police are planning to get custody of all accused together so that they can be interrogated together.

Additionally, a new complaint has surfaced against Nitheesh, alleging years of restraining and abusing a woman. Earlier another complaint also accused him of imprisoning and torturing an elderly woman. Authorities have registered a case based on these allegations.

The revelation of the double murder emerged during the interrogation of Nitheesh and Vishnu, who were apprehended on March 2 for a theft case in Kattappana town. Nitheesh and his accomplice, Vishnu, disclosed their involvement in the killing of Vishnu's father, Vijayan, and his sister's newborn, admitting to burying the bodies during questioning by the police.
