Kalamassery blasts: Evidence collection at fire cracker shop in Tripunithura

Kochi: Police continue to gather evidence related to the Kalamassery explosions on Thursday, by taking the accused Dominic Martin to various locations. He was taken to a fire cracker shop in Tripunithura from where he had purchased ‘Gundu’ crackers used in the explosions. Following this, evidence will be gathered from the electrical shop in Palluruthy and the petrol bunk at Tripunithura as well.

The team will also visit Martin’s house in Thammanam today. It is learnt that the accused is totally cooperating with the investigation officials.

Evidence was gathered from the Zamra convention centre yesterday. Meanwhile, Dominic Martin has repeatedly claimed responsibility for the blasts. He even informed the officials that he is not willing to share the ‘credit’ for the attack with others. The accused also explained his modus operandi in detail to the cops.  

Four individuals were killed in the Kalamassery explosions. 19 people who were injured in the blasts are currently undergoing treatment. Two are said to be in critical condition.
