K Surendran flays opposition, alleges UDF lacks intelligence

Thiruvananthapuram: BJP state president K Surendran claimed that the opposition party lacks intelligence and the leader of opposition Ramesh Chennithala, who provided a platform for the government to boast in the assembly, is a blessing for the Chief Minister.

The opposition lacked brains despite having all the arrows in the quiver, he said adding opposition in Kerala is useless. The opposition could not extract the answers to the questions asked by the people of Kerala during the no-confidence motion, K Surendran said at a press conference here.

The opposition led by Ramesh Chennithala does not have the capability to fight Pinarayi Vijayan. Their attitude is to help the enemy during the time of war. That has been the case for the past 4 years. The Chief Minister who runs away from questions and an opposition that can not be trusted are Kerala’s curses. If BJP had at least 10 members in the assembly, the government would have had a hard time, K Surendran stated.

Chief Minister is trying to communalise the issues. That is why he mentioned the topic about Ayodhya Ram temple in the assembly. By protecting KT Jaleel in the gold smuggling case, the CM is trying to make it appear as if the government is protecting the minorities in Kerala. The BJP state president also said that CM is trying to win the election by joining hands with communal factions.

Chief Minister was not ready to provide satisfactory explanations on the questions pertaining to the gold smuggling case, Life Mission project or KT Jaleel. He repeated KT Jaleel’s explanation while speaking about the topic. He did not say anything related to the Life Mission project in the assembly. Despite the central agencies pointing fingers at the Chief Minister’s office in the gold smuggling case, Pinarayi Vijayan said that no one has accused his office of the crime. UDF has proven that they cannot fight against this government, he added.

K Surendran also informed that BJP will organize protests against the government under the leadership of district committee presidents on September 4, 5, and 6.
