Thiruvananthapuram: Hoping to bring the feud of INTUC with Leader of Opposition, VD Satheesan, to a temporary halt, KPCC president K Sudhakaran said the labour organisation is an essential part of the Congress family. He was reacting to the media after talking to INTUC state president R Chandrasekharan.

The comment of VD Satheesan that INTUC is not a feeder organisation has invited strong reactions from the organisation. They protested against the Congress leader. Chandrasekharan even organised a press conference expressing his dissatisfaction. Satheesan made the comments while denouncing the violence that erupted during the 48-hour trade union protest in March. He reiterated his position despite growing opposition.

Sudhakaran said that though INTUC is technically not a feeder organisation of Congress, it is much bigger than such descriptions.

Meanwhile, Ramesh Chennithala, responding to the allegations that he instigated the INTUC against Satheesan, said he is not a 'cheap politician'.

Supporters of VD Satheesan have demanded action against those who took part in the public demonstration against him. Sudhakaran has hinted that there will be actions.
