Kannur: State Intelligence Department said that protection should be given to Manu Thomas, former CPM Kannur district committee member, who leveled serious allegations against CPM state committee member P Jayarajan and his son Jain P Raj. In a report filed to the government, Intelligence Department has said that adequate protection should be provided at Manu’s house and his business establishments.

As he had raised allegations against P Jayarajan and his son through Facebook post, Manu received many threats through FB. He had said that P Jayarajan had pushed CPM into crisis situations in the past on many occasions with his unacceptable style of functioning. Manu had criticised that, area secretaries were created in the hilly regions of the district to help the quarry owners. He had also alleged that Jayarajan built up his connections in Kerala and abroad using his son’s business connections.

Meanwhile, Jain P Raj, son of P Jayarajan, has sent a legal notice against Manu Thomas demanding a compensation of Rs. 50 lakhs and withdrawal of his statement that Jain has been coordinating the gold smuggling gangs of Malabar and has connections with quotation gangs.
