Hurun India Rich List 2023: Kerala's Yusuff Ali, Dr Shamseer among top 50

Mumbai: Lulu group Chairman and Managing Director MA Yusuff Ali and Burjeel Holdings Founder and Chairman Dr Shamseer Vayalil hold the first and second positions in the India’s wealthiest Malayalis list. Yusuff Ali has assets worth Rs 55,000 crore while radiologist and health entrepreneur Dr Shamseer has assets worth Rs 33,000 crore.

In the top 50 wealthiest Indians in the India rich list released jointly by Hurun and 360 One Health has both these Malayali luminaries at the 25th and 46th position respectively. 

Infosys co-founder Kris Gopalakrishnan (rank 53) holds the third position among Malayalis on the list with a net worth of Rs 31,000 crore. Alukkas group Chairman and Managing Director, Joy Alukkas (rank 68) has assets worth Rs 27,600 crore and Gems group chief Sunny Varkey (rank 76) with Rs 26,000 crore are the other Malayalis who made it to the top 100 on the list. 

Mukesh Ambani and family with assets worth Rs 8,08,700 crore are ranked the wealthiest family in India while Gautam Adani and family of Adani group (Rs 4,74,800) and Cyrus Poonawala and family of Serum Institute of India (Rs 2,78,500) hold the second and third position.
