Thrissur: The government has submitted a report from DGP Shaik Darvesh Saheb regarding the disruption of Thrissur Pooram to the Kerala High Court on Friday. The report allegedly contains several critical references to ADGP M.R. Ajith Kumar concerning his failure to maintain order during the event.

DGP Darvesh Saheb has accused Ajith Kumar of not fulfilling his responsibilities as the officer in charge at the site. He claims that Ajith Kumar failed to intervene in the situation despite being present in Thrissur during the Pooram. The government presented the report in the form of an affidavit to the High Court.

The government has not released the initial report prepared by ADGP Ajith Kumar regarding the incident. The High Court clarified that it would consider BJP leader B. Gopalakrishnan's request to bring Ajith Kumar's earlier report before the court at a later date. The court has instructed the Thiruvambadi and Paramekkavu Devaswoms to submit counter affidavits in relation to the case.

Currently, a special team under Crime Branch ADGP H. Venkatesh is investigating the matter. Previously, the government rejected the report prepared by ADGP Ajith Kumar concerning the Thrissur Pooram disruption. In rejecting the report, the Home Secretary recommended a reinvestigation into the issue.
