10-year-old girl kidnapped in Kasaragod sexually harassed: Medical report

Kanhangad (Kasaragod): As per the medical reports, the little girl who was abducted and later on abandoned in Padannakkad earlier today, was apparently sexually harassed by the accused.

An unidentified person had abducted a 10-year-old girl from her home in Padanakkad around in the wee hours of Wednesday, while the child was asleep. The abduction took place as her uncle stepped out to milk the cow.

The perpetrator stole the child's gold earrings and left her about 500 meters away from her residence. The child sought help from a nearby household and reported the incident.

Later, the child was escorted back to her residence. She had injuries on her eyes and neck and was later admitted to the district hospital. 

After the incident came to light, District Police Chief P B Joy arrived at the spot and initiated a probe. It is informed that a search is ongoing to find the culprit.
