Thrissur native Sajitha takes charge as first woman excise inspector in Kerala

Tirur (Malappuram): Thrissur native Sajitha took charge as the first woman Excise Inspector in Kerala at Tirur Excise Circle Office on Tuesday before Excise Circle Inspector Anwar Sadath. 

She had sworn in before the Excise Deputy Commissioner on Monday. Following this, Sajitha was appointed as an Inspector in the office of the Tirur Excise Circle Inspector.

Sajitha completed training from Thrissur Excise Academy. After women were recruited in the Excise department recently, it was decided to appoint 10 percent of the candidates as Inspectors based on excellence. Sajitha scored the highest in the test and was thus appointed as Inspector.

Sajitha is the daughter of Thaikkattussery native Damodaran and Meenakshi. She is married to Aji hailing from Chuduvalathur in Shoranur. He works as a manager at Star PVC Pipes and Fittings in Thrissur. The couple have a daughter named Indu, a Class 7 student of Carmel CMI School in Kallipadam.
