In the tragic death of Megha, a 25-year-old Intelligence Bureau (IB) officer working in the emigration section of the international airport, her family has raised suspicions after she was fatally struck by a train. In a complaint to both the IB and the police, Megha's relatives have alleged that her death may have been a suicide triggered by emotional distress following a broken relationship with a fellow IB officer.

Megha, who hailed from Pathanamthitta district, had completed her work early on Monday and left for home, according to officials. However, she did not return home, and her body was found later that morning near the railway tracks at Chakka, close to the airport.

Her family, particularly her parents, were unaware of any issues Megha might have been facing. They have expressed disbelief over her death, stating that she had not shown any signs of distress. However, sources from Megha's workplace have shared details with her relatives, leading them to believe that her mental health had been severely impacted by a personal relationship.

According to Megha's family, she had been in a relationship with an IB officer from Malappuram, which she had shared with them. Although her family initially opposed the relationship, they later accepted it and were planning to make it official with a wedding. However, the relationship ended abruptly when the IB officer reportedly withdrew from it. Megha's relatives now believe that this emotional setback contributed to her decision to take her own life.

Meanwhile, the police have filed a case of unnatural death and launched an investigation. Megha's colleagues allege that her breakup with the guy could have contributed to her mental distress, which may have led her to take the drastic step of jumping in front of the train.

Megha was the only daughter of Madhusudhan and Nisha.
