Thiruvananthapuram: CPM veteran leader AK Balan claimed that fake certificates were extensively in circulation, similar to fake notes. He claimed that it's not an ordeal that’s going to end with the arrest of K Vidya or Nikhil Thomas, former SFI leaders accused of forging an experience certificate and a UG certificate, respectively.

He said that fake certificate menace is spreading like wildfire, and no one found guilty will be spared. He added that CPM would continue its zero tolerance policy towards such malpractices in academic spaces.

Talking about the opposition party, AK Balan said that the KPCC president K Sudhakaran will never be able to save his sinking party. “The end result is going to be tragic,” he said.

“The current KPCC president is an old friend of mine who covertly helped me win the college chairman post during our hay days, shattering the hopes of KSU years ago,” said A K Balan, recollecting memories of his young days.

A K Balan also condemned the attacks on CM Pinarai Vijayan and party secretary M V Govindan, in the wake of recent controversies.
