Efforts taken to bring back 45 house surgeons stranded in Manali, says Kerala health minister

Thiruvananthapuram: Health minister Veena George on Wednesday said that efforts are being taken to bring back 45 house surgeons from Kerala stranded in Manali due to flash floods.
Veena George said that doctors would be dispatched to New Delhi to coordinate efforts. The team includes Dr Ganesh Mohan, Superintendent of Ernakulam Medical College, and Dr Raveendran, a surgical professor at Thrissur Medical College.
Earlier, the health department had contacted the Himachal Pradesh government and the DGP to inquire about the status of house surgeons. Additionally, the department asked them to take measures to ensure that stranded individuals had access to food, water, and other necessities. As many as 27 house surgeons from Ernakulam Medical College and 18 from Thrissur Medical College, who went sightseeing, are stranded in Manali.
