Scooter scam accused Ananthu Krishnan gave money to political leaders of both LDF and UDF

Muvattupuzha: Ananthu Krishnan, who was arrested in connection with the ‘scooter scam’ case, has testified that money was given to political leaders through cooperative society accounts. To verify this, the police are examining voice chats and WhatsApp messages on his phone. These details emerged during his interrogation while in the custody of Muvattupuzha police.
During the last Lok Sabha elections, ₹90 lakh was given to candidates and leaders of both left and right parties. The money was provided in cash as well as through other means. It was also transferred via the bank accounts of employees linked to those who requested the funds. The money was given as a donation to political parties and leaders during the election period. Additionally, funds were distributed in connection with the NGO Confederation.
Details have also surfaced regarding Ananthu Krishnan’s purchase of land in five locations across Idukki and Kottayam districts. It was found that advance payments had been made for some properties. He bought 50 cents of land in Muttam for ₹85 lakh, two plots in Kudayathoor for ₹40 lakh, and 23 cents in Erattupetta. Reports indicate that an advance payment was made for 50 cents of land near a temple in Kudayathoor. Three vehicles were seized by Muvattupuzha police a few days ago.
It was also discovered that certain bylaw amendments were made in the NGO Confederation to benefit Ananthu Krishnan’s company, Professional Service Innovation, which was receiving money collected from local residents.
