Dominic Martin to represent himself in court, says need to personally express his thoughts

Kochi: Martin Dominic, accused in the Kalamassery Bomb Blasts, has informed the court that he doesn't need legal assistance and would represent himself.
Martin also refused assistance of lawyers of the Legal Service Society who appeared before the court. He said he needed to express his thoughts and arguments in his own words. He also said that he doesn't have any complaints against the police.
Besides Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) (Punishment for murder) and Section 3 of the Explosive Substances Act, relevant sections of the UAPA have also been invoked against the accused.
On Tuesday, Martin was brought to his house in Athani to collect evidence. The police also retrieved various materials, like wires, batteries and others used by Dominic to manufacture IEDs. Police also retrieved a bottle used to buy petrol from the terrace of the house.
