Disguised as nurse, woman tries to kill lover’s wife at hospital by injecting air into vein; caught

Thiruvalla (Pathanamthitta): A woman has been taken into custody for an alleged attempted murder at St. Gregorios Medical Mission Hospital, Parumala.

The suspect is Anusha (30), a native of Pullukulangara, Kayamkulam.

The incident took place on Friday at 5 pm when the accused, disguised as a nurse, tried to kill Sneha, a 24-year-old woman from Kareelakulangara, Kayamkulam, who had recently given birth, by injecting air bubbles into her veins, to cause air embolism, using an empty syringe. The quick response of hospital staff saved the young mother's life.

Hospital staff apprehended the suspect, and informed Pulinkeezhu police. She pharmacist from Pullukulangara.

It is believed that the motive behind the attempted murder was the accused woman's alleged affair with Arun, the husband of the young mother. The police seized a syringe from her.
