Thiruvananthapuram: It is reported that DGP Shaik Darvesh Saheb has become increasingly disturbed over sending reports in connection with the investigation of the missing Kozhikode-based businessman and realtor Muhammad Attoor, aka Mami. It is said that, the reason for his dissatisfaction is that the reports are being sent to him through ADGP MR Ajith Kumar, even as he had given instructions not to send reports through him.

DGP has asked explanations from both Malappuram former SP S Sasidharan and Kozhikode city police commissioner T Narayanan for sending the reports in connection with the investigation regarding the missing of Mami, through ADGP Ajith Kumar by ignoring DGP’s standing instruction.

It was the two squads under Malappuram SP and Kozhikode Commissioner who were investigating the case. As PV Anvar MLA has come up with allegations against ADGP Ajith Kumar, DGP had given instructions to these officers not to send reports through ADGP. He insisted that the reports should be sent through DIG or IG. But, ignoring this instruction, both Malappuram SP and Kohikode City Police Commissioner kept sending the reports through ADGP Ajith Kumar.

As of now, it is the Special Investigation Team which probes the missing case of Mami.  DGP expressed his dissatisfaction over the proceedings before the SIT took over the case.
