Death toll in Kalamassery blasts rises to six

Kochi: The death toll in Kalamassery bomb blasts have risen to six. Praveen Pradeep (24), who suffered burn injuries in the incident, died while undergoing treatment in a private hospital on Thursday night. A native of Malayattoor, the youngster died around 10:40 PM yesterday.

Praveen’s mother Reena Jose (Sali-45) and younger sister Libna (12), who had accompanied him to the prayer meeting on the fatal day, had succumbed to injuries earlier.

While Libna lost her life on the day following the blast, Reena had died last Saturday. With the death of Praveen, three individuals from a single family have now lost their lives in the incident. 

Praveen’s brother Rahul was also injured in the blasts, he is currently undergoing treatment and is said to be out of danger.
