Daughter offers tribute during MT’s ‘Navathi’ celebration in Tirur

Tirur: MT Vasudevan Nair’s daughter and her team offered tribute to the veteran writer, on the occasion of his 90th birthday celebrations, with a dance performance.
Aswathi’s dance presentation at a festival in Thunchan Parambu honouring the legendary filmmaker, was a visual recreation of MT’s favourite songs and poems.
By performing MT’s favourite ‘Gandhari Vilapam’ from Ezhuthachan’s ‘Bharatham Kilipattu’ on stage, his daughter gave him the perfect 90th birthday gift. The performance turned out to be a tribute for the great poet Ezhuthachan as well.
Aswathi stunned the audience with her performance as Gandhari, a wave of emotions reflected on her face.
The dance presentation of the romantic song from MT’s movie ‘Parinayam’ was a treat to the eyes. The performance for the song ‘Indupushpam Choodi Nilkum Rathri’ embodied the beauty of night.
Aswathi’s students Nikhil Raveendran, Uma Bharathipadu, Aishwarya Santhosh, Angelina Ardra, Lakshmi, and Sanika lit up the stage with their performances as well.
While Aswathi choreographed the major portion of the performance, Vineeth Kumar from Kozhikode handled the folk department.
