CPM worker expelled in connection with sexual abuse charges reinstated

Pathanamthitta: A CPM party worker, who was previously expelled following allegations of molestation, has been reinstated. CC Sajimon, a member of the Thiruvalla Local Committee in Pathanamthitta district, has been readmitted to the party.
Sajimon faced accusations of raping a married woman, resulting in her pregnancy, tampering with DNA results that could have established the child's paternity and circulating nude photos of another party worker. The CPM initially took action against him in 2018.
At that time, Sajimon was suspended from primary membership. Seven months ago, he was expelled from the party altogether.
In response, Sajimon filed a complaint with the Control Commission, arguing that he faced two separate proceedings for the same issue. After examining the case, the CPM concluded that there were procedural irregularities. Consequently, Sajimon was readmitted to the party.
Furthermore, Sajimon was promoted to the Thiruvalla North Local Committee, in addition to being reinstated as a primary member.
