Cop creates ruckus at bakery in inebriated state; suspended

Kochi: An inebriated police officer who created ruckus at a bakery in Karyad was suspended from service. The cop was identified as Sunil, grade SI at Nedumbassery police station. 

The results of the medical tests proved that the SI had consumed alcohol. The investigation report of the Nedumbassery CI pertaining to the incident will be handed over to the SP on Thursday.    

Sunil who was on duty at the control room vehicle, had entered the Kozhipattu bakery and cool bar in an inebriated condition. He is accused of beating up the bakery owner and his family members, and also an employee and others present at the spot during the onslaught.
