Congress office vandalized at Meppayyur in Kozhikode

Kozhikode: The attacks against Congress offices followed by Venjaramoodu twin murder is continuing across the state. Congress office at Meppayur here was vandalized on Wednesday night. Windowpanes, tables and chairs were smashed in the attack.

According to reports, the Congress committee office was vandalized around 12 in the midnight. A group of 15 men rushed to the committee office and destroyed furniture and other items, as said by the locals. Police force is camping here considering chances of a clash.

Congess committee offices were widely vandalized in Kannur and Kozhikode in protest over the twin murder. In Kannur, over 20 Congress offices were attacked Similar cases were reported in Kozhikode also.

Amidst this, some protesters set fire on the bike of a Youth Congress leader. DCC presidents are holding hunger strike on Thursday in protest over the ongoing attack on Congress offices in the state.
