New Delhi: The survivor in the case involving Rahul Mamkootathil has approached the Supreme Court. A caveat has been filed by the survivor in the writ petition submitted by Supreme Court advocate Deepa Joseph. Deepa Joseph is an accused in the case related to the alleged harassment of the survivor through social media.

The caveat seeks a hearing of the survivor’s arguments before any interim order is passed on Deepa Joseph’s plea. The caveat on behalf of the survivor has been filed by advocate KR Subhash Chandran.

The exact contents of Deepa Joseph’s writ petition are not yet clear. However, apart from seeking to quash the case registered by the Kerala Police, the petition is reported to have raised certain constitutional issues. Indications are that the writ petition challenges, among other things, the constitutional validity of the provisions under which the case has been registered.
