Centre withholds funds for 17.84 lakh PM Kisan Samman Nidhi beneficiaries in Kerala

Alappuzha: The union government stalled the disbursal of funds to 17.84 lakh PM Kisan Samman Nidhi beneficiaries in Kerala, as they have not uploaded details of land in the respective portal yet. The 12th instalment of funds for the period from August to November has been withheld.    

The farmers are entitled to receive Rs 2000 each for a period of four months through PM Krishi Samman Nidhi. 

As many as 37,50,445 persons have registered in PM Kisan Samman Nidhi in Kerala. Among them, only 19,65,528 beneficiaries have received the 12th instalment. At least 35,33,297 beneficiaries had obtained the 11th instalment for April- July. Nearly 48 per cent of applicants are yet to receive the latest instalment. 

The funds of beneficiaries, who have errors in their uploaded details, were also stalled.
