CBI report places Ganesh Kumar in tight spot

Thiruvananthapuram/Kollam: Pathanapuram MLA K.B. Ganesh Kumar has more at stake in LDF than anyone in connection with the alleged conspiracy to implicate late Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy in the 2013 solar scam-linked sexual harassment case.
The Kerala Congress (B) leader has been in the forefront of launching scathing attack on its LDF partner, CPM, and the State Government on various topics. Furthermore, he has been a proposed cabinet minister for the last 2.5 years in the ongoing second Pinarayi Ministry. There were also reports that Ganesh and his party intended to return to the UDF camp.
However, the report submitted by CBI in the Solar Case has placed Ganesh Kumar in a tough spot. Interestingly, KC(B) was in the UDF camp when Oommen Chandy and his cabinet faced allegations surrounding the Solar Case.
While UDF leaders have spoken out against Ganesh, the LDF has stood firm and seemed to have declined to defend KC (B). A few days back, the government issued an order to remove Ganesh as the Chairman of Kerala State Welfare Corporation for Forward Communities.
Meanwhile, Shafi Parambil MLA will move an adjournment motion in the Kerala Assembly on Monday to discuss the alleged conspiracy to implicate late Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy in the 2013 solar scam-linked sexual harassment case. Further, the Opposition will demand a probe into CBI report findings.
