Car falls into gorge in Ponmudi, four tourists rescued

Ponmudi: A car carrying four passengers from Punalur met with a horrifying accident at the 22nd curve of the Ghat road in Ponmudi on Sunday morning. 

The vehicle tragically plummeted into a 300-meter deep gorge. The group had been returning after a visit to Ponmudi when the incident took place.
Fortunately, all four persons were rescued after a combined operation of locals, the fire force and the police. 

The rescued persons revealed that the car lost control and fell into the gorge. Meanwhile, two of the four rescued suffered injuries to their hands.
