Cancer drugs to be sold at low prices through Karunya pharmacy: Counters open across Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: Cancer medicines will be distributed at lower prices through selected Karunya pharmacies. A total of 247 branded medicines will be provided without profit through special counters.

The state-level inauguration will be held online by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Thursday at 3:30 pm. The event, which will take place at the Karunya pharmacy in the OP Block of Thiruvananthapuram Medical College, will be presided over by Health Minister Veena George.

Karunya pharmacies distributing medicines in the first phase are:

Victoria Hospital Kollam, Pathanamthitta General Hospital, Alappuzha Medical College, Kottayam Medical College, Idukki Nedumkandam Taluk Hospital, Ernakulam Medical College, Thrissur Medical College, Palakkad District Hospital, Malappuram Tirur District Hospital, Kozhikode Medical College, Mananthavady District Hospital, Kannur Pariyaram Medical College, and Kasaragod General Hospital.
