Brilliant IAS officers have worked in Kerala before: Dr Sarin takes a jibe at Divya S Iyer

Thiruvananthapuram: KPCC Digital Media Convener Dr Sarin has strongly criticized Divya S. Iyer, Managing Director of Vizhinjam International Seaport, for her praise of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Dr. Sarin remarked that Kerala has had many smart IAS officers and suggested that Iyer, due to her young age and lack of experience, should refrain from making such statements.

Praising Pinarayi Vijayan at the trial run event at the Vizhinjam International Seaport, Divya S Iyer had remarked that the days when huge projects remained merely on paper have gone. This went viral on platforms including Facebook. People have reacted against this. 

Sarin criticised Divya on a Facebook post. He wrote:

Dear Divya, 
Many projects have been implemented in Kerala which the world has witnessed. I am not going to prepare a list. Let me tell you just one thing. Brilliant IAS officers have worked in Kerala before as well. Just ask them and they will tell you about the visionary Chief ministers who led Kerala. Such misunderstandings arise due to lack of age and experience. You should correct it.
